In our seminar courses, we approach real-world problems through the lens of interdisciplinary learning.  By exploring diverse literary works, we inspire our scholars to examine texts from multiple angles, connecting them with broader fields such as history, psychology, sociology, philosophy, science, art and more. This holistic approach to classroom materials and discussion allows scholars to make larger connections, develop quality arguments and think critically about each topic covered in class.

 

Our interdisciplinary class combines literary analysis with real-world issues.

Personal Finance

​

Our personal finance program is a workshop-based curriculum designed to equip participants with financial literacy. We thoughtfully designed our lessons to help their fundamental math skills come to life with real-life application. By incorporating hands-on problem-solving exercises and interactive activities, our scholars will gain valuable experience applying financial concepts to real-life situations, from personal budgeting to understanding debt, saving, and financial independence.

 

Our personal finance program combines math fundamentals and problem-solving 

• Focus on fundamental ideologies of finance, saving, budgeting, debt, and credit

• Provide tools to effectively manage money 

• Build financial literacy & decision making skills

 

This course builds over their 3 years to incorporate new concepts, at home labs, technology workshops and more to sharpen their skills.

Leadership

At Scholars, we believe in supporting the whole student. Our leadership class explores concepts from self-advocacy and communication to mindfulness & stress management. Leadership classes offer scholars an opportunity to network with industry professionals, and learn effective email writing and communication skills, and tools to support time management and executive function techniques.

Performing Arts​

​

Our Performing Arts Classes are conducted in the form of virtual and in-person workshops. Students are exposed to acting techniques, improvisation, storytelling, and learning to empathize with different perspectives.
