The Gotham Scholars community is deeply saddened by the Supreme Court's ruling to reject affirmative action in college admissions. This ruling not only undermines affirmative action but also undermines the progress we have made in advancing racial justice. It serves as a stark reminder that we still have a long journey ahead of us to achieve true equity in education. 

However, Gotham Scholars remains steadfast in our commitment to our mission of providing equitable access to higher education to FGLI and highly-motivated public high school students. We recognize that the ruling further highlights the need for organizations like ours to work tirelessly to address systemic barriers and empower marginalized communities. This ruling strengthens our resolve to support our students. 

Together, we will persist in our efforts to create a more just and equitable society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
